The yellow colour trend is huge- either in slightly acidic versions, or also warm and sunny. These new airy yellows blend perfectly with all the beige and sand tones in the interiors palette, and go quite quirky when combined with light peach and greyed-off moss – wow!
Examples shown are from outdoor furniture makers, all seen at Salone del Mobile in Milan this June. The role yellow plays in these collections is a step out of the earthy scheme, that has been so dominant for long, towards a brighter, lighter, uplifting colour palette. A real summer colour!
But it doesn’t only work outdoors. For indoors, we will see comforting warmer yellow tones, butter, honey, or mustard seed.
The layering of colours from similar families remains a popular way of combining hues. Yellow meets beiges and soft oranges and rose and spicy browns.
