Bibi Smit, NL, project CLOUDS at Masterly, Milan, Sept 2022 – The sculptures are made from pastel coloured glass, reminiscent of the skies in Dutch landscape paintings. „An ode to the energy of nature, empowering us to look after it…. Immerse yourself in the sky just before rainfall, taste the sweetness of the sunset or feel the threat of thunder clouds“.
Aside from the poetic aspect of the project, it works with a material of growing importance: glass. With the use of plastic being questioned, the interest in glass as a packaging and structural material is re-installed.
